Reviews for "take care of the trees"

Wow. I tried to go into town before talking to the brother, but everything was burning and dead already. Obviously this guy is a psychic mass murderer (notice how I said PSYCHIC instead of PSYCHO? He killed everyone without even moving from the spot!!!) When I got back, he was gone and in the cave. Man, I told him not to take too many meds... now what?

My game-brother scares me...

Although it's not exactly a masterpiece in gameplay and visuals the storytelling was very avant garde and pretty individual. The part where you control the brother also donned some pretty interesting visual effects (camera seemed to tilt) and the sounds were pretty well done (loved the sound of the grass). I really like these short games that have excellent storytelling and this is a prime example of one.

I love the graphics and storyline but...

*SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOI LER*SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER*

When you talk to the guy who has the suspicious caravan, he says that he sold his entire supply of medicine to a guy who came by earlier that day. But when you play as the brother at the end of the of the game and head to town to buy an axe, the caravan is nowhere to be found. I got the impression that the brother was the one who bought all the medicine when he went to town, but you never encounter the caravan on the trip to town and thus can't buy the whole supply of medicine. So was the brother the one who actually bought all the medicine and the caravan interaction is just missing or did the brother buy the medicine before the beginning of the game?

Other than that extremely small inconsistency the game is awesome!

a good but also weird game

Well, that was definitley a weird game indeed. It ended with the brother flashing back to when he killed everyone and then it just stops. At least it was interesting to see how I could control two people. We never get any explanation as to why any of this happens. I guess it might have made a good Creepypasta. I could tell that something bad was going to happen in this as everything just seemed too ordinary.

No medals appeared onscreen, but I imagine it would be easy to get them back. There was no threat of dying or anything. Even when the brother came back insane, you didn't have to worry about dying. A pity the townsfolk weren't that lucky. I swear that caravan guy just disappears, but he was probably set on fire too.
