I don't really like the idea of shooting only from behind. The ability to shoot in all directions needed.
When I'm at the bottom of the screen and getting shot at, I cannot avoid that shot if i go up. The problem is that some enemies can't get to the bottom of the screen. I don't know, maybe it is intended to be like this, but in games like this there should be a chance to avoid all the shot fired at you, if you're fast enough.

I hated always being at 54 km/h after all the engine upgrades ... It took waayyyy too long to get 4km/h let alone 12
Good art, and the base of the game is solid, but everything takes too long. I'd suggest a universal health reduction, and more high-tier enemies with decent payouts. Also; the shield line is game-breaking: Once you can use it to regenerate health the only reason to die is if you want to
Honestly, the pacing has a couple of issues.
What I mean is that I was able to get quite a few achievements on my first run, and over 40 kills without anything other than the highspeed FBI agents chasing me. As soon as I saw how much time it took for one run, the prices of the upgrades, and the income I made I realized that this game was going to become a constant and endless loop of me shooting agents until they eventually whittled my hp down.
Wasn't gonna spend a lot of time on multiple playthroughs when, it seemed, just one showed me all the enemy patterns (coming from ahead, or trailing from behind) and that the patterns themselves left a lot to be desired.
However, having said that the visuals and sounds were spot on- and while the gameplay was pretty linear, it was fluid in the areas it did cover (hit detection, collision, movement, etc.)
Although I could only bear one run, it was quite enjoyable, so good work with that.
Also, perhaps a credits page for the music used? The main positive that is sticking with me is the menu music- Its pretty orgasmic.
Overall, a more than decent tribute to the Alien Hominid Legacy, and thanks for submitting!
This is not bad of a game but WHY DON'T YOU KEEP THE MONEY THAT YOU GET AT THE END OF EACH RUN!?!?!?! THAT IS ANNOYING THAT YOU CAN BUY STUFF ONLY WITH THE MONEY WITH THE RUN YOU JUST DID! WHAT IS WITH THAT!?!?!?!

What are you talking about? The money you earn during a run is added to your total which is what you buy stuff with in the shop.
