I'm a sucker for upgrades and quality graphics. Adorable artwork, polished interface, upgrades galore and more. There's just nothing bad to say about this game.
So, I'll review the best things about it. Hands-down, the artwork makes this game most appealing. John did an amazing job drawing up these cute and quality sprites. I'd say upgrades are the second best thing about this game, but I'm addicted to upgrades in any game. I normally don't have much of an opinion on sound, but I can say the SFX are fitting, and fitting to something this awesome is a compliment in itself.
Gameplay was no doubt great as well. The special served its purpose well: I had to wait for it, but when used it saved my ass. Clicking to slow things down was a great twist I haven't seen in this genre before and it added a lot of strategy I'd say. Minions were another unique addition to combat, and they were just plain adorable too. Everything about the combat system was enjoyable for me. I also loved the occasional golden skull--quite a treat!
Overall an incredible game worthy of a perfect rating in my book. It's not very long admittedly, but that's what unlimited mode is for, right? For a casual game, it's just right. Keep it up!
