Many good things have already been said and I agree with most of the feedback (both positive and negative) that other users have, so I won't repeat them. However, I want to stress the horrible controls for the smoke rings. I was on the verge of quitting a number of times and actually ended up downloading a program to make a macro for the click-timing. I have no problem that a game is hard or that a puzzle is hard, but when you fail a level on a puzzle game repeatedly, not because of the puzzle but because of the controls I say that this is a serious flaw.
Otherwise, a brilliant game.

That was a great game, with interesting mechanichs and I enjoyed every part of it. But i feel that the plot was way, way WORSE than the one in the original.
Of course I understand that the prequel has a much bigger story in comparison with like 30 lines of text in the original, but is that really a good thing? Does the story about the girl with low self-esteem and her douchebag gamer boyfriend really have to be in the prequel to the Company of Myself? I admit that there were interesting philosophical thoughts in this game, but a lot of things felt cliche and out of place.

A big part of the idea was that Jack is very focused on himself, so he doesn't notice what's going on around him. In his game, it's all about him. In Kathryn's, it's largely about the other people.
Regardless, sorry you didn't like the story as much, but thanks for the review!
I love the game and story but the4th level of the swamp is just way too hard. The smoke ring thing should be easier.

cant really review it cause it just wont load for me. not sure why actually waited a hour. the concept looks and sounds cool so i will give you a 3 1/2 . please fix load problem if you can.
