Reviews for "Fixation"

I think that people need to be made aware of the double jump. I was stuck on the second screen for a while, until I accidentally figured it out. Other than that, this was a pretty decent game. The smoke effect was good. Now I need a smoke!

SPOILERS, I guess...

I have to congratulate you. Even though I knew it was a prequel to TCOM, I got wrapped up in the story so much I forgot where it was all destined to lead. Even when the guy did his "magic trick", I didn't catch on. Only when I went through the mechanics of the last level, saw myself on that platform... it all hit me like a ton of bricks just as he hit the switch. Well done. I was floored.

That being said, I thought the ending slideshow lacked something. There was no sense of the closure, the look on his face seemed off. I don't know how to describe it except to say that it was just... lacking something. The ton seemed wrong in the last stretch.

Aside from that, it was genius. The conversations were absorbing, and in spite of how simple and basic the events in the characters' lives were, I found myself involved with them and caring about what happened to them all. I guess it really is true... it's not just the story that matters, but how you tell it. Congratulations on a job well done, sir.

I'd like it half a star better if it always helped me with smoke rings.
Thanks for the game.

For some reason, the dang thing wasn't loading on this website, so I had to go somewhere else. It's the cigarette at the beginning that's the loading bar. What I found great about this was that it was such an ambitious game. This is really one where you completely learn every single thing as you go along. In case anyone's having trouble, press up twice to double jump. In the third room, I think it is, fall down and then press up as you're falling.

The atmosphere was fantastic and the characters are great. The main girl here reminded me of Nene, but I don't think she's her. It's amazing how much adventure you can have in a study. I love how everything's presented in such a mundane manner. You have to use your smoking breath at the top of the laser to stop it from hurting you.

The only game where smoking SAVES your life!
