The EHUP took a bit to figure out until I remembered a mechanic I happened to see randomly one time. Great game. The puzzles, anyway. I think the story got in the way.
Also, easily the coolest preloader I've ever seen. Seriously.

I am, uh, confused.
The graphics were cooler this time (including those scenes when you finished chapter, pretty nifty!), the puzzles were just a little harder, too. The music is kick-ass! Especially the swamp one!
I always enjoy a good game like this, even more if there's a whole load of text within it. You just gotta learn to enjoy this sort of things!
I think I'm gonna play the 'sequel' again, just to check on the facts...
The story line was beautiful
its a great game and i liked. first i must to say... Fullfist SHUT UP! the story have a lot of sence with the characters, personaly not with the main ones which are Cathryn and Jack, but the rest of the character had a past story before the time in the game.
what bring to my second comment, i played The Company of myself, and the story's end of this not coincides with the story that tell Jack about the last day he spent with her, not the report of the shrink about what happened with her that day, that was the reason Jack became what he became, i could to say more but mind in blank :P if you have questions or anything just ask me ^-^

Puzzles are ok, the mechanics themselves are decent, could use more variety. The music is masterful. The whole thing could use more light, too dark.
But the story is SHIT ! And these kind of atmospheric games, the story should keep you wanting to play, either through silly humor or through interesting storyline. I stopped playing, i was so annoyed by boorish dialogue of these bland overly sensitive characters.
Geez, if i wanted that kind of drama i'd watch Twilight. They talk about sick rabbits, dead cats, afterlife, marriage, stairs and "nothingness"... my god. It's like a bad emo poem (as if there's any other kind). a good story has a head,middle and a tail.
At the very start the game sets up no ground-work except that this girl likes to smoke and that she doesnt like psychotherapy. Then she's obsessed about another girl's boyfriend who becomes the villain for no other reason than SOMEONE HAS TO BE even tho, in his own way, he's just as fucked-up as they are but at least he has the decency to not bother me with all this emo bullshit...
And then a few levels later she's all pissy that the STRANGER shrink died. As he were her father. Even the druggie STRANGER she met in a dark alley joins in on the emo parade. He didn0t even see the guy ONCE!
Who are these people and why should i care about Freud "keeling over"? This comes out of nowhere and suddenly becomes the center-point. I can come to no other conclusion than these people ENJOY being emotional wrecks.
Was this script written while on drugs? Likely.
They say "smoking is a sign of weakness". Judging bay this game it's a sign of being a pissy bitch.
AVOID unless you like being dragged into a hole of meaningless depressing ramblings.
