Reviews for "The Focus Group"

Animation was excellent, but you should try to get the voices better. I could hardly understand what the kid who raised his hand said ...

PokeGravy responds:

Thank you for the comment. I put up a file with better quality audio, hopefully that will fix the problem!

Hmm, looks like the entire review has been taken over by Talkingtrousers's comment. I guess I'll join in.

Just to keep things clear here, let me speak from a Christian perspective. Most Christians do not celebrate the Passover because it is innately a Jewish holiday. The slaughtered lamb represented a substitution for sin, as it does throughout the Old Testament, but the death of Jesus Christ was the ultimate sacrifice and substitution, never to have to be repeated. That's why in the New Testament you see the apostle Paul saying that it doesn't matter anymore whether you celebrate holidays, as long as what you're doing is for the Lord, Jesus Christ.

This, however, is what irks me about Easter. I'm all for bunnies, eggs, and lots of chocolate, but it never seemed right to me that this would be celebrated alongside Christ's resurrection. I don't mind however non-Christians want to celebrate Easter, but Christians that let Easter Bunnies overshadow Jesus are only depriving their kids, and themselves. If I could change the calendar, I'd keep both, but not on the same day. I'm just not up for "sugar coating." At the same time, I think that discipline has nothing to do with what holidays you celebrate. Really, Talkingtrousers, there are more serious issues when it comes to kids and discipline.

<phew> Okay, I finally feel like I can comment on the video!

The animation is pretty good, and funny. The idea of a calendar companies deciding holidays is funny by itself. The sound wasn't amazing, but it seems better than most give credit for. It didn't distract me at all, at least.

My only concern is, why hate on slaughtering a lamb? People do it every day so we can haz cheezburgers, and even in your video, the "Easter" group was eating a ham.

Overall, not bad and I look forward to more.

I did not know that passover also had a "scavenger" hunt. I think the best part was when the creepy passover dude said "I'm opening the door so a ghost can drink our wine." Screw the ghost and give me the wine.

The passover part was good,
but they forgot to have the kids drink four cups of wine.

I happen to be a jew. This animation was good, and it actually made me laugh, but all you anti-cemetic reviewers actually hurt me deeply. Please, remember that us small portion of Jews actually have feelings.
