Reviews for "Do You Know Flash Games?"

THIS MAY BE THE COOLEST TRIVIA THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED! (i think that doctorstrongbad knows that reference, am i right?)

4.5 stars because even if it's not an original concept, it still is fun to play and and amusing for us, flash games amateurs. Although, I can state two little mistakes ( nothing too bad ^^ ) :
1) I think this game is too short : even if there are different modes the questions asked are memorized pretty easily if you play more than once.
2) The music can be a little nerve-cracking ( but there is a mute button, I acknowledge that : ) )
But in the end it's really good if you have 2 or 3 minutes to kill : just work on these little mistakes and I think a lot of people would rate 5 if you make a sequel of this ...
Keep up the good work !

I really enjoyed this game. It was fun answering the questions ,and learning about some new flash games. I am happy that I completed this and earned all of the medals. Good work. Will there be a sequel?

GeneralVimes responds:

Thank you very much! Yes, I plan to release a sequel, taking into account your reviews. Currently I make the list of the games, the questions about which will be included into the second part.

Good concept, but it was way to easy. I got to #13 just by guessing and looking at the pictures, I had only played one or two of the games!!

That being said, it was quite enjoyable, but I think there is definitely room to build on this game!

Game concept, graphic and modes are excellent. But it deserve only four stars. Maybe even less. Why?
1) Music. This game have no single track.
2) Questions are repeating. I don't like to "solve" in every new game half questions from the last game with only 80% questions seen.
3) Pictures from game. They often show us the answer even for the last 5 questions.
4) Stupidity of some questions. Only really stupid don't solve the question "Who is the main hero of "Snailiad"?" with variant "Snail". (this question was eight in one my Classic game)
5) Small amount of questions. They take near 30 minutes to find and memorize most of them.
Maybe that's not all, but they are the main reason.
P.S. Sorry fo my bad English(if it's bad)

GeneralVimes responds:

Thank you very much for the review! I'll try to answer to these statements:

1) I selected 3 tracks which, I think, will represent the growing tension during the game. But I'll think of adding the intro and outro melody in the sequel (like it is in the TV-show)

2) I tried to avoid questions repeating as long as possible: for the new session my algorythm first selects the questions which were asked the smallest number of times.

But another parameter taken ito account if their difficulty level. And the situation when those 20% of questions which you haven't seen were among the 3rd level question - then the easier ones will repeat.

3) Yes, pictures with answer clues for the first-level questions were included intentionally. However, perhaps, I should adjust the questions difficulty weights to avoid this for high-level ones.

4) I thought this could be funny :) As well as some of the first-level questions in the TV-show. (But as I checked, it has the 1st difficulty level in my database, so, I'll have to find out why was it picked for number 8)

5) Yes, another restriction I met was the file size. I managed to include 203 questions (using 146 screenshots) and still have the file size slightly below 5Mb.

6) You English is absolutely understandable and I can't see any mistakes :)

Thanks again for such a detailed review! I'll take into account your opinion while working at the next version.
