ProgressivegamesDLE responds:

LOL! We'll take that as a compliment, thank you! And we're not even sorry for scaring the crap out of you! We're actually pretty pleased about it, and glad that you liked the game. Thanks for the 5 stars!

God damn that is a scary ass game! I jumped out of my seat like seven times! I had my hand on the volume knob constantly because otherwise I would've just lost it! Enough with the exclamation marks and onto the review!

The graphics are stunning and the game a a whole is nicely put together. At first I had no idea what I was suppose to be doing but then I figured out that I was collecting marbles because I guess little Timmy was playing marbles during the daytime in the haunted house and needed to go back that night to get them.

At first the navigation and orientation really bothered me but eventually you realize how it works and whats going on. A slight tutorial to explain that you can rotate would be greatly appreciated. I found another thing that bothered me was that some sections looked too similar or just not unique enough to realize, "hey I've been this way before or at this door" which causes you to run around in circles. Another problem that arises from that is that you may miss entire sections simply because you never went left at some points. Perhaps a map would be helpful but I feel a map would destroy the games atmosphere and/or make it too easy.

I think ditch the time limit because I probably would've spent close to an hour playing this game instead of twenty minutes. Instead of a countdown timer, have a countup timer. In a game like this, you don't tell the player how long to play but the player determines how long they want to.

Outside of that, keep doing what your doing but do it better because I want to give you 10 out of 5 stars next time.

ProgressivegamesDLE responds:

Thanks - this is really great feedback for us to get!
We're glad you liked the game, and we're even glad that you found the navigation, um, challenging...! You do say yourself, that a map would have made it too easy, and you did figure it out on your own eventually, right? And part of the fun of a haunted house is getting turned around and constantly coming back the same way, so we probably wouldn't change that much... ;)
This game is a beta test for elements that we plan on using in other, bigger games, so we do appreciate your comments, and will keep them in mind as we develop other projects.

Thx for the 5 stars, we'll make it 10 next time... ;)

Not that great really. The environments weren't very cohessive, and I found that getting any sense of orientation was just about impossible. Some of the atmosphere building was good, but the sound loops used for bg noise got repetetive and mundane pretty fast. Navigation of the area needs work, a lot of work. I do not really appreciate the jump scares, I never have. It did not feel like there was any real interaction for me here, even with the hidden items. I was more or less on a rail just experiencing a haunted house ride.

ProgressivegamesDLE responds:

Thanks for your evaluation. We appreciate your honest opinion, and will definitely keep it in mind as we develop our other games. This game was a beta test for some of the elements we plan to use in the others, so your feedback does help us. We hope you'll play our other games as they come out... :)

It was alright, i kept going to the same damn places all the time, and the girl always singing. Sound quality was bad. Couldnt get into it. But we do need more games like this.

ProgressivegamesDLE responds:

Hehe, yeah, most people wander around the same places at first. ;)
We're sorry to hear you had trouble with the sound? What seemed to be the problem?

Really freaky and creepy. Great job man. It's been a while since I played an actual scary game.

ProgressivegamesDLE responds:

Thx. Nice to hear you liked our work. :)
