Yeah, it was a different type of comedy I was going for with this, one I guess isn't too popular among general audiences.
The personality of the character was a little over the top and the jokes were a little heavy-handed and drawn out. I got that the kid was absurdly infatuated with the game in the first 20 secs. Couldn't you have found anything else to make fun of after that?

That was the point. It was supposed to be over the top. I could have found something else to make fun of, hell, I could have found plenty of things. But I wanted the movie to be short. I appreciate the input though.
