Reviews for "GOON: The Game!"

You know, as movie tie-ins go, this one actually is kind of fun. However, having not seen the movie yet, I will worry about writing its issues as if it were a standalone game.

First, the difficulty. It's too uneven - if you're trying at all, you're likely to get past both Norris and Hunter without incident, but Rhea is a huge step up and will take multiple tries.

Second, and I'm guessing this is due to its status as a movie tie-in, the "Goonalities" (read: Fatalities) seem kind of underwhelming. The ones done by and against Rhea are the only worthy ones, in my opinion.

That being said, this game is actually fairly playable and solid as a game. The graphics and sounds are done well. What I would have liked to see is an unlockable mode where you can play as the other three characters, truthfully.

Since I don't have anything else to say, here's a tip for fighting Rhea since I know others will be reading: Your charge-up moves (the shoulder dash AND the flash kick) can out-prioritize his Bicycle Kick, but only if you're reacting. Generally speaking, the first to act is at a disadvantage here.

Lost in the last round against rhea. I actually beat him in the second round and then he put his foot down and beat me. I thought that it was a bit cheap making the quick attacks ineffective against him, and instead force the player to do power attacks.

Comparing it to your actual skills, this is a decent game. Cool concept, though. I beat Rhea on my first try but, idiot me, I couldn't figure out how to finish them do now I'm going back to beat him and get the achievement for finishing him but CAN'T!!!

old school blades of steel fighting. but wasn't that fun and nor was it that funny but i guess thats becouse its a moive tie in. /shrug
