Reviews for "Defend Your Trump"

Start Money is Funny

Great number to start with. Good music. Fun .

Ewwww, stunlocks.

The graphics and music were great. The gameplay was fun and challenging at first, but once the electrocution rails and wires were introduced, it quickly became frustrating and annoying; it was far too easy to become stunlocked.

Look...

This game has lovely art, a cool song and a very neat concept for a defense game. However, every game should be difficult, but never made so that it's impossible to succeed. Hardcore gamers pride themselves on perfection and the fact of the matter is that it's logistically impossible to play this game perfectly.
It's not even like this game is the type of "difficult" where if you really buckle down and play fast you can have wild success. Another reviewer correctly described the enemies as "cheap". There way too many time when you simply cannot defend your money no matter what you do.
I think if , as atrius86 suggested, you make the electric rails destuctable, pace the ememies (especially on boss battles) better so that it IS possible to smash them all and perhaps make the boss battles a bit more obvious, this would be a fine and addicting game. As it is, it's just frustrating to the point of not being fun.

a simple solution

the electro rails suck... after you got three on screen you find yourself stuck at the bottom. as soon as one rail is done zappin right above you another takes its place... my first instinct upon seeing these things were to crush em of coarse. but the damned things are invincible... how about (if you decide to re-work this game) making those things destructible... this way you still have a challenge and you can use skill to allow for, lets say freedom of movement. another thought might be a tower defense element. having to sacrifice money your saving on some temporary tower defense emplacements might be more fun than piston crushing everything for 15 minutes.

This would be okay..

It wasn't really bad in the start, got some basic concepts down on what needs to be hit and how many times. But the electric beams can prove annoying and hard, and they last for a very long time which corrupts the learning curve quite a bit.
I also ran into a glitch where at the 2nd boss, after I hit it's head once, it wouldn't bring down it's grapple for more money. While it camped at the top doing nothing, all I did was face the robbers and robots that were trying to take the money.

Not bad, but not that good either.
