Reviews for "Defender'sQuest (big)demo"

hard

it can only be completed on casual, on normal power is properly balanced only on first levels or im just retarded

medals, y u no be achieved.

This game is awesome. If I'll be able to pay via credit card I'll most certainly get it :3

I can't seem to get 4 medals though... Irony, I got the 21 blue medal, but can't obtain 15 blue... also, I cleared gold everything there was to clear, but I didn't get last two gold medals, nor the Ozimal's cloak medal. I'm a sad moogle :(

LarsiusPrime responds:

Strange... is anyone else having this problem? It re-submits your completion stats every time you hit the overworld. Try clearing your cache and reloading the game?

Impressive

The only reason I don't give this a 10 is due to the fact that it's a demo, and I really don't like it when games are advertised on NG through demos.

Anyway, this looks absolutely amazing. It's somewhat original, like a twist on other TD games, the story seems fairly solid, and I like the development of certain characters along the entire series.

The graphics and animations are sweet, and the gameplay is rather simple to grasp for anyone playing. A smooth learning curve is always a good thing in games. Music is pretty much perfect, I really love it.

LarsiusPrime responds:

Thanks for your honest and frank review! We understand demos can be a tough sell, so that's why we tried to be as up-front as possible. Glad you liked the game :)

Simply Astounding

This game is one of the few TDs that really captures my attention. The RPG elements involved had me hooked. For anyone who is having trouble with the game, the most efficient way to beat it is to not spend any points on leveling any skills up more than one until you hit the level "Old friends, new enemies" (on extreme). Apply skills as you you see fit and max Frenzy out for Azra.

Besides my little hints and tips, The question arises, why did I give this game 8 starts? I don't like the graphics at all. I hated when Azra had that ludicrous face of disbelief on her face. The first archer girl was the only one I could stand. I wish you had chosen a different way to portray the characters instead of this cartoony feel that this game shouldn't have. I'm also not a fan of the menu scheme, It seems....off. But besides that this game is great for the casual player and the hardcore player. The skills are well balanced and the ability to work almost the whole game form the keyboard was great!

Once again, I had a ton of fun. Made two profiles, one was a regular run and the 2nd was an extreme run. Took me 2 hours on the first and 1 hour on the second. All levels are completed in gold too. I just couldn't stand the graphics scheme. But my final score
5/5
8/10

Really good game

I see a lot of art that is similar in style to your characters as they appear in the cutscene/movies, so that's the only area I would improve on. A little more character style variety would be nice, if you're only going to have one character style per type (all berserkers look the same, for instance) then open up the color wheel so you can choose any color for hair, skin, etc. I had to grind for 5+ levels to get the 21st gold star, though this wouldn't have been as tedious if I was playing to full game instead of the demo. The best xp fight was the 6th island, extreme ranking, played ad nauseum until I could get my mains up to level 15.
