Reviews for "contrast: a love story"

Oh wow...

Talk about tugging at your heart.... this is insanely simple but dramatically powerful. Actions clearly speak louder than words.

Horsenwelles responds:

they do in this case ^^

.. wow..

this is.. like a quicker version of draw with me..

it's so sweet- that it brought tears to my eyes TT__TT

--sorry.. i'm a sucker for sweet stuff like this..

and.. i know how that black draagon feels too TT__TT

.. anyway-- 10- 5 and faved!

**runs off crying**

Horsenwelles responds:

i'm glad i made you run off o.o?

I don't know.

I really don't want to bash this, because it's obvious that you worked hard on it. Maybe I'm just not into the dramatic style, but the use of a suicidal effort for the sake of "love" is a stretch for characters that we're not invested in. And I think that is the problem, there is no emotional investment. If we don't know what the dragon's life is worth, how can we appreciate his sacrifice? I know this was made in a short time frame, but some character building would really do wonders for the story. Obviously, however, tons of people loved it, so keep it up.

Horsenwelles responds:

generally i would agree, but this is a flash meant to be a loveletter. not a 2 hour progressively building film that can flesh out characters. in fact, what more could you want to know about these dragons? they are strange conceptual characters that simply want to be with one another, not fleshed out Shakespearean characters.

i dont mind the bashing, but it was sort of lacking context...

Great job!

Im very glad to see such an adorible flash! It was both well crafted and well written. Thank you for your work

Horsenwelles responds:
