I work at GamesHop too, and that pretty much nails it. Even though policy states that I shall not belittle the companies greatness if I want to keep my job I have to say that I always wonder why customers do not react like this all the time.
The answer obviously is because most of them think it is a great offer and take the butt fucking...

It's too bad they've monopolized all my other local game stores... You know, the one's who'd just let you buy your damn game and leave? I remember back in the day when I didn't have to jump through flaming hoops or some crap just to get one. Nice vid, regardless.

No lie... I agree 2 a certain degree. But unfortunately the company as a whole doesn't make as much money as it used to. As a result they have to create all these different methods to make money. Plus the Butt fuck is a way to market customers and keep them around. As a fellow gamer I feel ur pain. But please understand we dont necessarily try to ram our cocks in ur faces becuz we want 2....

While this does pretty much sum up GameStop, and for the most part, any other place nowadays, I have found a locally owned shop that doesn't BS you on stuff. Granted, some games you get a few bucks for, but a popular game (such a GTA: Vice City) that would normally net you 5 or 10 bucks should NOT be bought for 6 cents, store credit! Thank goodness I found this place. Now if I need a good game for a system I have, I go to this shop. If they don't have it, I'll ask the guy that if he does get it, give me a ring and I'll hop over. This guy buys, sells, and trades not only games, but merchandise related to games, CTGs, and classic comic books. Hell, he's one of the few who still sells D&D stuff! Overall, this guy is worth it, and if he gets enough customers, GameStop will totally be raped in the rear. But that's some wishful thinking, for now, it's just a few locals who know him :D

I remember when GameStop was Babbage's. Ya know, back when the policies wouldn't make you want to commit Hari Kari. It sucks.
