Reviews for "The Masquerade"

Congratulations sir.

Thank you for you works.

@TheMoreYouLearn

The girl didn't magically appear she came to him because he had the strength to reject conformity and be himself, and she felt the same (as implied by her sad mask, she clearly faced similar issues) The answer is to be yourself and find people who accept you for it, I think

WOW!

This, simply put, was amazing.

Everyone tries to mask their feeling, and try to put on a happy face, at least once in their lives. The raw emotion and creativity that emanate from this animation rival that of Tarboy's.

Well done, I will be following you from now on.

Only presents the question, not the answer

I give this a 9 instead of a 10 because it only presents us with a question, and doesn't really show us the answer.

Parents pretend to happy to avoid depressing their kids. Teachers pretend to be angry to scare students into doing what they want.

It's all common knowledge.

The question is - Should this be stopped? And if so, how?

This animation provides us with none of the answers. Instead, the boy gets the easy way out by having some girl magically appear to comfort him.

In real life you have to take the hard way out, you have to confront the problem. You can't rely on strangers magically appearing and comforting you.

Good job on presenting the question, now we just need the answer.

Pahgawk responds:

All that may be true; however, that was not the purpose of the video. It was not made to answer any of those questions because, really, they can't be answered. The point was just to give the message that it's ok, you're not alone, and not all is bad.

Ever watch Mawaru Penguin Drum?

This reminds me of the child broiler.
