Very humorous

Well I see you did well here and it took a few moments to figure out that random blob shape was actually Wale's country shape I think. This was a really short and pretty humorously put animation as well. I enjoyed how it seemed to stereotype some TV shows too cutting straight to the point and showing what they tend to do from time to time.

The animation here was quite well done. However I think it could have been a bit more funny at the start if Wales when busting through the ceiling caused a Wale shaped hole with a couple of chunks falling with it too. The fight in space was funny and I like how stuck with physics since the drink in the cup was falling out extremely slow. Funny how his words hurt Wale and then they cause a giant explosion in space as the fight starts and ends, humorous there. Then it cuts to saying visit Wales with the flag of Wales?

The audio here was nice although I think the censor beep at the start could have been just a little shorter actually. The sounds used for the phone, ceiling breaking, flying up, and the explosion at the end were all nice too since it gives a feel it is probably going to happen somewhere. Then the voices were also good, did you do them all including the advert voice at the end?

I suppose the plot and animation could have been a bit longer or you could have shown us what happened at the end after the explosion. That and possibly giving both characters accents as if they were from Wales rather than English accents too. Aside from that, very well done animating and short piece.

Overall, rather humorous and nice short piece, very likable.

Aha! Very nice my friend!

~ Animation/Graphics ~

You had a very nice style of art in this submission. Everything was pretty clean cut and very visually pleasing to the eye. The animation was very smooth and I couldn't find any faults in it. I also loved the use of color. Everything just looked really awesome.

~ Story/Content ~

It didn't take to long to make me laugh in this submission. I ended up laughing at most of it to be completely honest. You have a good sense of humor and I may just check out some of your other flash submissions if you have anything like this. The characters could have a series made out of them in my opinion.

The only downfall of the entire submission is how it ended. I was hoping that it kept going on for a little longer with some more jokes, but it kind of ended in a not so funny meh kind of way. :(

~ Audio ~

The voice acting was superb and there was literally no interference with the microphone. All of the music/sound effects were just perfect for the submission. This part of the flash was very well down all around.

~ Overall ~

A very good flash, but I just wish it didn't end so abruptly. I was hoping for some more quick jokes and a funny battle scene.

Needs a Welsh accent

What an hilarious turn of events - took me a little while (1-2 seconds) to get up to speed with the plot that Wales was the country, not just the surname used by Princes William and Harry, but it was still pretty funny.

I was surprised not to hear that Wales had a Welsh accent and on top of that, the blurb at the end sounded more Liverpudlian than Welsh, so your voice actor needs a lesson in regional dialects ;)

Sure, the piece is a little off-the-wall, but the humour is well presented. Disappearing through the ceiling was well complemented by dropping some plasterboard after a slight pause. I think that you've considered this nicely and it shows a good depth in the writing department.

In spite of this depth on the writing front, there was no joke about the Welsh national pastime - fornicating with sheep. I thought that this was a shame, since the weather was overdone and there are other things you can take the piss out of the Welsh for, such as their national dish of cheese on toast, the language, the accent, the fact that they are actually English and so forth.

Still, I loved this piece and I'd love to see more of Detective Wales in the future.

Well, that was strange.

It took me a while to identify the grey mask wasn't just a still amoeba and actually supposed to be a geographical shape.

It made no sense that Wales, in it's entirety, had a kind of American accent instead of...well...Welsh. But hell, if I'm going to nit-pick; what was the Centaur drinking, why is Wales grey, why did the world explode, can Wales fly blahdyblahderherpdrurp and I'm envisioning an Englishman pronouncing that word aloud RIGHT. NOW.

It was random humor, so I could go in one of two ways; affirm that it succeeded in being random and vote highly, or denounce that the path of incoherence is an easy path to take and vote lowly. Since I can't make up my mind yet, I gotta trust my gut. My gut's reflection on this, is...well, I'll have him type it himself.

Alright, I'll just type it. Just as I was beginning to roll with these crazy happenings unfolding before me, suspending disbelief that, "Okay, a gray chunk of the UK that is a detective (who can fly) is battling against a sophisticated, villainous Astronaut Centaur", it ends too abruptly. AS SOON as you got my attention, it just drops for a half-assed "Come to Wales or some shit" tourist ad line...even though in the end of the animation, the world seemed to have exploded.

I'm also profoundly against censorship. Tell me, which is worse? Being exposed to a long sustained "FUUUUUUUCK" or being exposed to a long, loud, annoying shrill beep? Like most men, I'd rather fuck. Err...hear fuck. Um....fuckit.

On the plus side though, it's actually animated very well. The facial expressions and lip syncs (or 'stache syncs lol) were spot on. The environments were great. Not really a fan of the flat grey office environment, but I suppose it works seeing as how it matches Detective Wales entirely. I also think it's interesting to see what an artist does when they're told "draw outer space." You handled the black void above us all pretty well. I liked what you did with the place.

But yeah, what's keeping it from getting a 10? The long sustained beep and the underwhelming punchline. Great Voice Actors, art, animation, and hell for a random flash you did it very randomly. I'd like to see something of yours that contained more depth in the future. Voted 5!
