Reviews for "Candle Cove Preview"

Surprising

I honestly didn't think it would be any good. It really wasn't bad.

+Good voice-acting
+Great dialogue and overall writing
-Sloppy, flat art
-Mediocre animation

The art was really the biggest problem. It was very sloppy, squiggly, and all out-of-proportion. The animation at times was mildly-decent, but other times it was just choppy and not very good.

However, it's writing is just fantastic. It sounded like I was watching a real movie at times, it was THAT good, combined with the great voice-acting, of course.

Overall, it seems to be another one of those movies where the best reason to watch it is for its dialogue and storyline. Other than that, there's not much to offer, however I still have to say the animation was nicer than a lot of other styles I've seen before.

DingoWalleyStudio responds:

Thanks for the compliment Mr. Twisted. I know, my art stinks. That's just simply how I draw and I can't figure out a way to make it better. I'm glad that my animating skills are going up from "Bad/Poor" to now "Mediocre", so that's something to be positive about.

And as for the scripts, your not the only one who said my script writing is superb. Mick Lauer (RicePirate) said my script was very well written. Perhaps after this episode I could hire some animators to do the animations while I just focus on the Scripts, the Voice gatherings and the oversight of the project. I'm also glad you at least like the style.

Thanks for the Critique. If you don't mind though, maybe you could PM me and tell me specifically what's bad about my Animation. It could be really useful for me. Thanks :D

Well done.

The sound effects and voice acting were very well done. No microphone crackle, no awkward clicking noise or voice chatter, and I could understand every word they said. The animation was well done, not to much movement in this one, and it looks very clean. The edges may need a few cleanups and maybe some more colour, but so far so good. I think this will be a good little series. I'm not that big on the story line, but I know I have only seen 1 scene. I guess stories about little girls doesn't interest me. All though the story isn't for me the writing is good and kind of funny.

Damn that mother, all her kid wants to do is play!

DingoWalleyStudio responds:

I do have some terrible line work, but hopefully it can improve. Thanks very much for your liking of the cartoon though. And it's the 1600's, parents usually over-react to what kids want to do back then and always take it literally,

nice

but... no need to co author us for stuff we aren't acting in -people might wanna go check out this stuff to hear our voice work and be disappointed to find that we aren't in it : )

DingoWalleyStudio responds:

True, but I felt like I should include all the cast for the preview because I didn't want them to be left out. Thanks again though for being in my cartoon though :D

Looks decent

Looks decent so far..is it really going to be a comedy though? Hope not. Also, if it isn't going to be a comedy, I suggest keeping the lack of music as that can set up a creepy vibe. I'm interested to see how this will turn out!

DingoWalleyStudio responds:

Well, yeah it is. Most shows for kids back in the 70's where Comedies (Jabberjaw, Multiple Scoobie-Doos, and Spin offs of the Flintstones). But do not worry, it'll be chock full of Accidental and High Octane Nightmare Fuel, though I don't wanna say what will and won't be scary in the cartoon (Obviously, Horace and The Skin-Taker are gonna be Scary though).

Good

I liked it and it played a good story with a great lesson I guess

DingoWalleyStudio responds:

Oh, the great lessons and good story have not begun! This is only scene 1 of the upcoming episode! I think you'll like what is in store.
