Reviews for "Duty Hill"

Really good

I really liked this game. The gameplay is fun and the weapons are also balanced & varied in a good way. I never felt that any of them were pointless, wich is common in this type of games. However there's a little problem; the money earning. I felt that the money was gained too easily and the stuff was too cheap. There would be no point in adding a star to a weapon when you could just play another level and will have enough money for a new one. You should've made the jump from one weapon to another more distanced, so that the upgrades would come in play. Also making the game longer, so that you could actually see atleast one of them getting full stars.

Another thing that brought it down (altough only slightly), was the enemy design. They looked really boring, with ugly single-color clothes resembling those of an astronaut or something. Nothing that would make the game boring by itself but it could definately have added some graphical enjoyment. The background on the other hand was pretty great, having that Soviet feel to it.

Last but not least, the music. It was a good song and added to the overall enjoyment.

I find it easy too...

Once you max out the m16, it is virtually impossible for soldiers to hit you, so just spray and pray. But overall, one of the best defence games i ever played

Good little time waster.

Yes, the enemy variation wasn't super diverse, but they had both varying ranges and weapons they used. Most people got pissy about not being able to aim effectively with the M249 SAW (btw, the saw stands for squad automatic weapon, not squad assault weapon [Yep, I'm that OCD] ), but in my experience its pretty simple. If you fire elongated bursts and just sway it everywhere, the accuracy gets pretty shitty, however if you used short controlled bursts and focus on small groups of targets at a time, thing aims like a dream, with is more realistic in that sense. I honestly, found the M16 and M21 useless, and the P-90 damn near perfect. All-in-all, a great game, short and basic, but very high quality in all the content (drawing, programming, etc).

Overall, 9/10, 5/5

Surprisingly good.

The simple one frame of "Chernobyl" does alot to dash any hopes of a diverse game spent gunning down retards that just don't know the value of a mortar tube. But diversity (however small) does lay within. Five weapons stand between them and that nice hill that you call home. Are they jealous? Do they yurn for a hilltop view of the hellish wastleland you have come to love? One thing is sure, five upgradable guns spit lead out symphonically while the soon to be mutants of Chernobyl race toward that prime piece of real estate that has killed so many before it. Will it win "Game of the Millenium"... no. But it's worth thirty minutes while you sit at your computer (in your underwear) on a Sunday morning, trying to juggle your corn flakes and the mouse. Kill em all!

Good shoot'em up.

It's a nice enjoyable game, not hard but not too easy. It's like this classic space invaders game, you are in one part of the screen and hordes of enemies running to you from the other. 5 upgradable weapons and nearly 5 types of enemies(however I don't see any difference except color). It is not a complicated game, as title says you are oh the hill and you have a duty, duty to kill anyone who want to take your nice hill that you enjoy so much. I don't miss that 25 minutes I spent on this game.
One thing I'd really like to see is need in weapon difference, they are all unique and good in their own way, but once you upgraded one to the max you don't need all the others. I bought a sniper rifle updated it's clip size and then damage and piercing ability, after that I killed up to 8 people in a raw, so if you won't forget to reload you'll never found yourself killed by these guys.
