I'm just glad to hear that the An Unfortunate Girl series is going to be continued.

Pretty good
The windmills were a nice touch. Good creepy imagery.

You've got the right colours, nothing vibrant (which I've seen a few people use in things like this that don't make it as distorted), but for me this feels a little tame for what you could probably throw into this.
If you're really trying to make this even more unsettling or disturbing, I would suggest throwing dead bodies in there, maybe one or two quick shots of a person screaming and some more grim sounds. What creeps a lot of people out is parasites, so you could have a couple of bits where worms or maggots are just squirming around.
Overall, this has got me pretty excited for "An Unfortunate Girl". I can't wait to find out what it's all about.

To me, that would be very cliché. Plus, it would have nothing to do with the story of the full episode. Believe it or not, everything that happens in this short animation, literally EVERYTHING, is symbolism for things that have happened in Karissa's (The main character of the series) life, or things that she fears.
But I get what you mean. The majority of people do find those things scary, even me. I just didn't want to take away from the events of the story. Maybe once you see what Karissa went through, you'll find this even more scary? I'm sure you'll go OHHH SO THAT'S WHY THAT HAPPENED IN HER NIGHTMARE.
