Reviews for "One and One Story"

= Braid + The Company of Myself + Color My World

I give this game a pretty low score for originality, but it was well done for the most part. A couple things irked me, like the falling blocks level (didn't fit in with the rest of the game), and the one bonus level which requires the boy to push blocks into a shallow hole (which loops to the top of the screen) for the girl, but he magically dies when he falls into it--poor level design really, when you have to implement such a cheap mechanism.

Anyway, the game was nice for the most part, nice graphics, good music and clever game styles, but I just wish it had a little more originality.

Not bad...

for a short flash game, I really enjoyed the limitations on some of those levels, made it a little less obvious as to the solution, and the bonus mode made 2 small games for the time slot of one, Props to MaTX on their programming, thanks for a game that reminds me of those colour me games on NG that I loved

surpising

The game was simple yet fun, though short and sweet. Keep up the great work

i seem to be having a wierd problem

i can't jump high enough to clear the tutorial level? i watched the walkthrough because ii thought i might have missed something and the character jumped double what i'm able to do.,

MaTX responds:

I fixed it. Wait for the update to be published :)

Not excellent, but pretty good

The reviews I see so far really overrate this game. It isn't an original idea or anything of the sort; in fact, its quite unoriginal. A story about love, a game involving multiple people to play as, and simple puzzles (which, when dealing with puzzle games involving love, I find has been the choice of difficulty with the puzzles). The "poetry" throughout is the same as the others, even going so far as to have the cliche ending of saying something along the lines of not hurting the other.
