Reviews for "Fisher-Diver"

Very Good

This is a fun game at first i wasnt sure what the thing was in the middle then soon realized IT WAS WHAT I WAS CONTROLLING haha great game though

FreeAsANerd responds:

Haha, that's not really something I expected to happen.

Great

I think the point of Fisher-Diver isn't so much the game itself or even the story about the old captain, but the emotion. It puts the player in a relaxed state and then has them hunted by a superior opponent. That sort of fear at being chased when you're just swimming around is quote powerful. and i like the So how's it feel to be the poor fish Concept

FreeAsANerd responds:

Glad you enjoyed it!

Again, as is with all of your games, this is amazing. Took me a few hours to finish the story, but it was well worth it. Poor fisherman guy. All he wanted, really, was to catch fish.

--- SPOILER ALERT ---
The twist was amazing. (As was the huge fish I encountered in the breathable portion of the ocean). I should've known there was something wrong with that Captain Connell. This is what happens to people when they become bored with monotony. They go crazy homicidal.
--- END SPOILER ---

Again, this was a great, artsy game. I loved it. KUDOS TO YOU!

Still great in 2020.

Not unexpected to me...

But funny! I really like that motherload-ish twist, with the diary-writer being the one to kill you. Also very poetic. "I only know how one end of the hunt feels. How was the other one?" :P

I must say, this game is great in many ways. The most important one, is that the game is no longer than the fun of the game. Some games keeps you grinding forever and ever, and gets slightly boring before the end; this didn't. I think it ended at a perfect moment, really!

Do not make a second; make something mysterious. I have a feeling you would have potential within the more mysterious plot-lines. :)

FreeAsANerd responds:

Thanks, man! I tried to be careful not to let the game overstay its welcome and drone on for too long. There are still people who think it gets tiring, but I'm glad it was a good length for you!
