Reviews for "Leila And The Magic Ball"

Two Thumbs Up!

The puzzles are very good. They're challenging, but do'able. And, they also test a range of skills, from reflexes to problem solving to precision. Very nice.

This is an all-around 10 star game, but if I could, I'd give it 11 stars just b/c the way the little girl acts so non-chalant about falling 10 stories into broken glass or explosives amuses me to no end. She'll make a fine stunt man when she grows up. Her parents, on the other hand, need to get reported to Child Protective Services. :)

Very kind, thank you!

Top notch

Good visuals, engaging puzzles, fun all around. Definitely 5/5

Thanks for the review man, making things fall on her head is way more fun than it should be :P

It's very good

The physics are especially nice, although I'm sure you'll be hearing that a lot. The water also impressed me quite a bit.

This game is at the point it's core is very solid and it just needs nitpicking, if at all. I'd say the biggest concerns I had was the fact I couldn't control which way the ball was launched, and if I had to shoot it midair I was forced to time the throw in such a way that I wasn't descending by the time I was lined up rather than having a separate key input like: "press the up arrow while releasing the ball midair to have it arc".

The water also made for some unnecessary challenge in a few levels where the realistic physics had some unexpected things happen. For instance in "Leap of faith" I had the girder fall on the wooden bridge, breaking it and trapping me in the pool with no way of escaping. A similar thing happened in "Dukes of Hazard".

PaulGene responds:

Great review! Shooting the ball is one of those things that should ( i hope! ) become second nature with a bit of practice, i can shoot baskets on the basketball level ( number 14 ) from all over the place, and because you can tap the magic button while the ball is in the air it gives you even more control, can do some cool tricks once you get used to it. The water on those 2 levels are supposed to be traps, but i can see how it might be frustrating. I will see if i can give her cool ways to escape.
