Reviews for "Falling With Grace"

Art Style reminded me of Fairly Odd Parents..

Overall, pretty good animation, just, work on audio clarity maybe?

Pretty hilarious

I was amused. The sound seemed a bit off at one point, but overall the cartoon was definitely worth watching.

Why...

Must all burritos have a Mexican Flag on them? I've always wondered at this. I mean, you don't see sushi with little Japanese flags.

Nice.

Wheeee

Execution wasn't great, but I love the flash of the "screwed, ain't he" sign. The cat's expressions were well done, too.

I can't say I agree.

I do not think this is particularly well played or funny. The animation could have been improved and it seemed inconsistent at times.

The jokes were nothing above average, but the fart joke really threw me off board. Flatulence isn't funny for a higher group of people. And it seemed as though this was trying to appeal only to a younger audience, but that's not what you should do.

If you're trying to appeal to a younger audience, you need to both include children jokes and adult jokes. Subtle adult jokes. Dreamworks does it well, check out their style of subtlety.

But the end joke was nothing original nor comical. It was somewhat expected and the only thing that kind of surprised me was the cat's grade. I understand that you're trying to get this to a younger audience and trying to demonstrate classic cartoon slapstick, but it wasn't well played out. And if it was trying to demonstrate classic cartoon slapstick, there was too much talking involved and screaming. This would have been played better if it was mostly silent and had some music playing.

So, I suggest improving the animation, appealing to a wider variety of jokes, and having less dialogue and more music. Other than that, drawings were nice (if sometimes inconsistent), comedy was good for a young audience, but I think this could have been done much better.

I'd rate it a 6.5 but there is no such rating so I'll just round it up to a 7 mainly because this is just personal preference and the cartoon wasn't dreadful, so to say. It just was not played out well.

Doodley responds:

Why would one add adult jokes at all if its targeted toward a younger audience?
Regardless, I'll take what was said and put it in consideration. I'm not going to please everyone here, and I've learn from the past to not even bother trying, I'm just trying to make the cartoons I always wanted to make.
