Reviews for "Fear Is Vigilance"

love the ending!!!!

"I couldn't have done it without you, M." "Oh Jus." "But I'm still not gay."

From a simple download, to the Big Site.

I played this back on when it was just a download, but now its come into a Newgrounds title that I just love. Always, 3 categories, art, music and gameplay, story.

Art = The art has advanced FAR past what it was for the Ludum Dare, but thats simply because of this not being on a time constraint, the art still holds the same charm that it once did. A few things that were added were the lights, the ending, before you just saw the van take off or the 'the last day, things went better.' but none the less, the house was added, and the lamps were actually added.

Music = The music fits the style of both the combat and the art with a perfection. Only thing I didn't like was that the music wouldn't change depending on how well you were doing, but none the less, I loved it as well.

Gameplay = A brawler, simple as that, and did quite well AS a brawler, it felt Double Dragon style to where you had to take on 1 or 2 guys, but any more and you would be rampaged. It starts off easy, but when the buzzers come in and the lights, it becomes significantly harder to survive without arousing attention.
During the day, however, you are handing out alarms where people will either take them or not.

The Story = The story was rather cutesy and fell right into niche with the rest of the game.

In short = This game is a fun little, retro styled beat em' up with a small mini-game to come in between the fighting. But it falls right under a nine because it feels repetive and would have been nice to see some new scenery instead of the same one, but as it stands, much better then the Ludum Dare contest, but still not perfect.

is the score based of money or bsetings delevered?

i have no clue...

Sequel!

Please? And if you could get more strategic options and still keep it simple, that would be nice.

I thought it was boring at first, but it grows on you.

cool

very nice
