it is a good game! but i don't understand what is the function of the odd rock and the topaz

Topaz currently doesn't have much use outside of being decorative, but odd rock on the other hand is strangely fundamental to the game, since it is required to get to the nether.
As of now, the wiki (or a tutorial video) is pretty much required to figure that out. Essentially, odd rock is used to craft portal stone, which is needed to build the portal :)
