Reviews for "Super Type"

Great way to kill time & speed up typing!

IN A NUTSHELL: A fun little game that is surprisingly simple, yet maddeningly addictive.

PROS: Very intuitive game play, and stylishly designed. Animation is smooth. High scores, combos, and time bonuses push you to keep playing and try your best. Good multi-taskers receive an extra edge from the small display of the next word. A great way to practice typing and increase your Words Per Minute without it feeling like actual work.

CONS: Occasional combo breakers happen even if you've typed the word correctly, which can be very annoying if you're going for typing as fast and as perfectly as you can. -1 star due to this error.

IN CLOSING: I gave it a 5 and added it to my favorites. Kudos to the author! Will likely revisit when at work & nothing else to do.

This was fun, but

My main issue with the game is two things.

One, that the main word is displayed in obnoxiously large letters in the center and the next word is in small letters in the bottom right. While I prefer sentences, since my brain things in sentences, it's more annoying that I have to watch the bottom right to keep typing quickly, but I often end up typing that word instead of the one I'm on if I start going too fast.

Secondly, there's a noticeable lack of game modes and options. For instance, I think it would be nice if you had a mode that forced you to backspace to correct your errors instead of just subtracting seconds. Another might be sentence mode where the words in the sentence appear across the screen and you have to keep up with them, etc.

It's overall pretty good, and most of my gripes are more preference, but there's not enough here to truly call the game "great" either.

Okay, but...

I don't know whether the misspelled words were there for extra difficulty or because they were entered incorrectly, but they seriously limited my enjoyment of the game -- I physically cringed every time I spelled a word correctly only to look up and see blood everywhere. Also, the "AGAIN" prompt was buggy, but that was easily overlooked because the try again button was clickable - nice workaround.

Otherwise it was pretty fun, and your design choices were crisp and easy on the eyes.

Intense little typing game.

Had 1939... darn. Fun frenzy, slightly addictive. Fast pace. I'd play it to kill some time.

Nice Job, almost good. 3/5

Great game

Very fun game and quite addicting. I might suggest adding a small time bonus when someone increases letter length - So say from 3 words to 4 words give them a 5 second boost, and so on. Not sure if this is implemented, but bigger words having more points than smaller ones would be great. Those are my only suggestions! Really fun.
