Reviews for "SS - Human History 5"

Lighten up, people...

Everyone wants to blather on about how terrible and how inaccurate this series is.

First off, I'd like to state that I am an Atheist and will probably forever be one. However, watching these Spirit Sciences videos is kind of like an eye opener to try to expand my narrow minded view of things. Naturally, being an Atheist I tend to belittle people who try and tell me that the human race was created by some divine being and that our time on Earth is just a test. However, does that make me any better than the Fanatics who try and shove the bible down my throat?

The truth of the matter is simple. There is not one single person on planet Earth who can explain why we are here. What is our purpose? How or why did we come into existence?

Evolution is still considered a "Theory" is it not?

The point is no matter how people try and explain our existence, we will probably never likely find out in our lifetimes. This question has been asked many times over the last couple thousands of years and yet we still as a race cling to the beliefs that we were created by a divine being.

When you watch these videos, I urge you to make your own choice on what you do and do not believe. Most of "facts" Jordan cites are actually Historically Accurate.

There is only one real truth about our existence, and that is the fact that we even exist at all. Don't be so quick to judge one person's view of the world just because you've been so egotistical to think that your ideas are the only real explanation for our existence.

Jordan, keep up the good work. Just don't eventually find out your calling is to lead some fanatical cult to their death at the arrival of a comet or some BS like that. =P

um.. =\

Animation-wise, its very good, so that nets you a three.

the reason you lost seven points is that your research seems highly suspect, taking many sources and interpreting them arbitrarily. (like, why were some of the egyptian art interpreted literarily, and some of it was instead taken as symbols?) or, what about all this influence being taken back to a singe source, despite evidence showing quite a lot of development had to of come out independently? not to mention that some theories state that language effects the patterns of thought of its speakers, rendering the transfer of the 'enlightening' patterns almost impossible after one culture?or the fact that the illumaniti were originally bavarian, and had little to nothing to do with the masons? im not even going to tough the seven tones of creation thing.

It's just like you said: its just a theory. and, from even this cursory overview shows, very patchwork.

also: martians? really? occham's razor, guys. it would make more sense for the corrupt dna to have a terrestrial origin.

RiverJordan responds:

No your right, there's a LOT more to it than that. Check this out http://vimeo.com/15939340 (remove the spaces)

i really enjoyed this

have you read any books by silvia brown, the stuff she talkes about is similer to what your saying.

alsohave you thought about putting all of your work into a dvd, cuzz i would buy it.

please keep up the work you have enlightened me.

RiverJordan responds:

Gnosism came out of masonry! :D

congratulations

10 episodes and a shitload of deleted reviews later, you've successfully brainwashed a good chunk of newgrounds into believing the same pesudo-science garbage you've been tricked into believing by your new-age science college professor.

For shame, man, to take something that's theory at its absolute strongest and "outright crazy talk" otherwise, and take it as absolute truth? That no other concept can even exist, that it's all mythically formed in our heads by YOUR gods, YOUR histories, as inbred ignorance used to confuse the masses and lead us astray?

Just because you read a bunch of books about the same topic all derivative from one original source doesn't mean it's something of absolute truth.

Tell your "people" that these are theories, that they're what you BELIEVE to be the truth, as opposed to telling them that everything is wrong and this is the one Light of the world. You know who else twisted words that way and talked so highly? Jim Jones, and look how wonderfully THAT shit turned out.

I'd like to assume that if you took a philosophy class instead of a new-age science class, you'd be doing flashes about existentialism, blithering on about how Ayn Rand was a new-age prophet or some shit.

I'd honestly give this a zero because both the stories AND the animation are garbage, but frankly my review would be instantly taken down if I did so so I'm leaving a 3 to be safe.

This needs to be on DVD...

At least not for sale or whatever (to avoid legalities)

But it's probably the most amazing thing I've ever seen!

The curiosity it stirs up! it makes me excited, scared, and filled with anticipation of the future. This DESERVES to be watched, arouse interest, and encourage self-reasoning and acceptance to the 'possibilities'.

I think you should compile your recent work into 2 parts. The Spirit Science Lessons and the Spirit Science Human History.
