Pretty good
I liked this animation, but I'm not sure if anyone who's never watched the series would get the joke... It'd be nice to get some music from the soundtrack in there like "lapis philosophorum" (though I understand how that's usually difficult) I especially liked the parody of Ed's monologue at the end. All and all, good animation.
All the music in this IS from the soundtrack. It's "Taboo" followed by "Equivalent Exchange" followed by "Melissa".
