Reviews for "Grey Story"

Nice, but overused and odd.

The art and graphics in this game were nice, as was the general gameplay, but they way it was brought together as a game was a little off. I consider myself a pretty thoughtful and conceptual sort of guy, but I didn't really get the point of this game. Was he dead? Giving her his life?
I like this genre of game but it is very similar to others I've played in the past; however you did make what is truthfully a fairly enjoyable game.

Hmm

I interpreted the story to be of a person who wants to get the attention of someone he loves, and brings her objects from around the world which only end up making him weaker and eventually nonexistent in her eyes; a story about the perils of obsession. That or it could just be about a girl who is moving on from her loved ones death, as made evident by the color returning to the world and the girl standing up at the end of the game. Also I found a gravestone at the right of the map. Either way I found it to be an interesting art game, but not a fun game game. The music also loops too much because of the length of the game.

Sad

I like the game over all but it's kind of sad through out the game every time you get her a present you slowly fade away. And finaly after you get all of them you disapear. And then and only then is when she finaly gets up and turns to where you were.

Lesson learned?? Women are users!

Nice 15 minutes spent on this. Would have liked some legit hazard traps resulting in gruesome deaths ala Limbo!

Very well excecuted... Gameplay lacking.

Gameplay: 1/5
Storyline: 5/5
Graphics: 5/5
Soundtrack: 4/5

The boy is the girls lover, yet he has died and is a ghost. She is mourning his death, and no longer sees any color in the world. The ghost boy takes time to collect items that the girl would remember from when they were together... The necklace, for example, might be a necklace that the boy gave to the girl when he was alive. After returning many items of nostalgic value to the girl, the boy begins to fade as the girl recognizes that the boy was meant to go, and she gives him up, as symbolised by her releasing the bird.

As many people have already expressed, the gameplay was a tad simple, and had no challenge to it at all. The storyline is left open, and can be interpereted how the players mind wishes it to be interpereted. Always a good sign in games with deeper meaning. The sound track gets repetitive, and only has a single instrument, yet it does fit the mood of the game. The graphics are very well executed for a pixel game. All in all, the game recieves a rating of 7.5... I always round .5 and lower down.. So.. 7.
