I liked it at first
when I first started playing the game, I loved it, the concept is brilliant, the setting is charming, and I must admit I have a soft spot for steam punk. however, I slowly dawned on me that you don't get to keep your tank from level to level, and this bothered me, there is no sense of ownership over your tank, each level you get a completely knew tank for no real reason, it seems really pointless to me, I would like it better if you got to customize your tank and carry parts between levels. another thing that bothered me was the learning curve, i had no trouble with the levels right up to the two that introduced the dum dum and the amo store, suddenly they could knock out my weapons in a single shot, blast through my armor with nothing but coal, and I'd be dead in a minute, and even worse, my own weapons would cease to function without warning, and were completely ineffective if I tried to copy the computers own tactics. This kind of drastic unbalance bothers me, I went from enjoying a good game to ragging at my computer, spouting every obscenity and expletive I could think of, and it ruined the game for me. its a great idea, the tank building is fun, the controls are solid (when they work) and the variety of blocks is great, but the execution leaves something to be desired. I'm hoping for a sequel that might address these issues.
