Too much of a grindfest. I lost track of how many times I had to replay already-completed levels, just to get decent enough for the next one. It makes an already-repetitive game even moreso. Players need more infamy per siege or something. I just didn't find much reward in completing the levels. It grew much more tiresome than it should have.
The art-style is nice, but in a genre populated with fantasy-themes, it doesn't really stand out in anyway. Goblins, medieval towers, wizards...it's been done a lot. As well-crafted as it is, it doesn't have a lot of personality. It makes it even more jarring when something odd pops up- such as the cartoonish "yoink" noise when you deselect a unit occurs.
Not a terrible game, but dull. It can be better, in my opinion. It just needs better ways to encourage the player to keep playing.
