Reviews for "Alight (in dreams)"

Good.

It's kinda hard though.

Very nice!

It caught me from the start! The items gave it a somewhat "choose your difficulty once you're playing" feel and the story is catchy!

I have one question, though: Is there a way to get the "Zero Candlepower" medal once you picked a candle?
I tested every item in the first level to see what was the difference, but every level I completed it with the clock and ONLY the clock, so I don't understand why I'm not getting the medal!

If the author is reading this, or if anyone has had (or has) the same problem, please answer!

touching

the story almost brought me to tears, very touchinand very nice game.

Niftily Awesome

Very well done game, I'd say. I'm not gonna critique this to hell, so move on if ya looking for that kind of review xD

I have to say, though, just reading the Candle-line text felt very familiar to what I experienced with my dad passing (he passed away the summer before I left for college). Needless to say, I felt touched by this game.

My only criticism would be the player finding out how to use the flight mechanic properly. It took me a good solid few minutes to realize how to get maximum fly height, and how to manipulate it for some of the obstacles you devised.

Its artsy, neat idea, poor follow through.

I see I'm not the only one who will critique this too hell, SO LET ME DO IT ANYWAYS!

To start, lets go with what I enjoyed.

Flight, the flight mechanic was done VERY well and made you feel more or less, free. Not much to say here, so NEXT ONE!

The dialogue, story, and what else is essentially the reason to play this too the end, I was always hungering to see what he would remember. Its amazing how well it made me WANT to get through the levels.

Several endings and very nice looks. Basically, anything that is a flash game that offers SEVERAL endings, especially each one is based on difficulty choice. Also, it looks pretty, the looks also compliment the dream.

Now the bad part.

Several areas are a complete guess or don't make much sense once you DO find the solution.

Heavily storied based and does drag on level wise.

Gameplay feels more or less to string the story and multiple ending choices together.

Now, how to fix it.
1. More gameplay, a little less story.
2. Combine both gameplay and story.

Thats about it, pretty good.
