Reviews for "Gap Monsters"

Fun... until my comp crashed.

Honestly, I liked the game. It was interesting, and there were many ways of beating a level, even if you didn't get the star point, if you manipulated the game enough. I thought that aspect was appealing, because often times in math there's more than one way to do things also, and those ways aren't necessarily wrong either. I love puzzle games, so combined with the ease of the controls (click + drag,) cute graphics and catchy little tune, I thought it was pretty entertaining.

My biggest peeve is that (as far as I know) your progress isn't saved? I was on one of the last few levels, and my computer froze, so I had to restart. Lost all my progress, as well as all motivation to beat the game. If you could add a save feature, or better yet and automatic save-feature, I would have liked the game better. Sometimes people can't just sit down and beat 45 levels all in a row.

Nutcasenightmare responds:

There IS an automatic save feature!

Everything autosaves: Level progress, Which GapWorld levels you've played, even the Level Creator.

I've no idea why it didn't work for your computer, though...

This is so fun. :D

I just love the idea. totally fun and everyone can enjoy it. i also love how you can make other levels :D
i tried imitading the little scream they have, my girlfriends mom thought i was her dad.
i must wonder what that secret achievement is though.. >.>
other than that its something i would just play all the time.

Nutcasenightmare responds:

What Secret Medal?

'WHAT' Secret Medal.

Torturing cute monsters?

I like this game, especially the music and level design. The very disturbing story was good too. Only negative was that you could beat the "summer day" level in only 5/7 moves. Considering that the level is so close to the end maybe it should have been a little harder?

Nutcasenightmare responds:

That WAS one of the hardest levels, according to a lot of other people.

But hey, be proud!
Very few others managed to figure out the 5-move solution, let alone realize there was a 5-move solution!

And now you have a WHAT Medal so yay.

Explanation...

Yeah, this game is very funny! But we are the monsters playing pushing and pulling humans in the red squares! One simple resume of this game is 1/0... you can't beat this game thinking 1/0= impossible to divide by 0. I think it's all...

clever and challenging

Unique idea for a puzzle game, coupled with adorable graphics, sweet music, and an amazing sense of twisted dark humor. It's also worth noting that you did a mind blowingly great job on level design, mixing internet pop culture with challenging puzzles. My only gripe is that the game felt a bit short, and a considerable deal too challenging near the end. Some sort of hint feature without having to go to a walkthrough would be nice,.
