Reviews for "Green riding hood"

Wonderful

Damn, that was good.

I love your use of Franz Ferdinand, though the audio could have used a bit more buffering to be a bit more crystal clear. In this quality, it sounds as if a character is holding up a rather poor stereo and playing it in the background. It's just a minor technical miff, however, so never mind.

Very fluid animation. I absolutely adore the overall smoothness of actions and transitions in between frames, and I can see the painstaking effort you've put into making very smooth the movements like Green's getting smashed in the face by a tree and the movement of his eyes (both human and post-climax). It was such a beauty to behold.

Lovely character design. I have a bone to pick with how "Not Furry" you made our Not-So-Big-Not-So-Bad-Wolf, but Green's character design, especially with his facial shadow, was excellent. He looked very well-built and blocky, a very nice contrast to our very curvaceous and angular Wolf. Those yellow eyes really got me, by the way.

Excellent art style. I love how the lack of shading and the MS Paint like feel of everything was actually quite quirky and good to look at. I guess the story helps it along. Back on track, I was slightly miffed by the lack of outlines for the background, but the seemingly water-coloured and not very sharpened look of everything was very good, particularly the cross-roads and "Granny's House". I could of course recommend brighter colours for the character's clothing and colour schemes to make a stronger contrast with the background, but that's just me.

Fun story. I absolutely adored Green's sketch work and how amusingly fast he can draw, especially when it is revealed that Wolf was posing and Green was just drawing whatever was in sight. That was, by far, one of the funniest gags I have ever watched in my entire life.

Excellent romantic, "You Can Run, But You Can't Hide" sequence. I particularly adored it when Green barrelled into the bad part of the crossroads, and came across "Granny's House", complete with that rather fun reference and twist to the source work. The climax was totally unexpected, and I loved how Green just went with it and the whole thing ended epicly, and planted a big smile on my face.

In my opinion, though, there should have been an epilogue where Green was making a portrait of Wolf in that same place, or perhaps picking up where he left off.
