Good Job
Really liked the game, and since you're my programer I think you should know, that I've killed a lot of robots (American Psycho - Robot Edition).
I have to admit that starting out I thought this wasn't going to be overly exiting, but after killing many, many units it started to grown on me. The controls were simple, and the AI wasn't overly smart, so dodging units was an easy task on all levels. Since I'm not a huge fan of aiming I just went with homing missiles, and upgraded them getting max bombs and easing through each level. Granted you have to replay each level a lot, but level 13 was a cakewalk with a bomb, so I was able to play it 30 times and be set for many rounds ahead. That's really the only drawback to the game, that you can play one level indefinitely without having to leave once you've beaten it. After 30 quick rounds I was set, and breezed through the rest of the game with only a few deaths.
The design of the units is kind of bland. Most of the mines are nothing more than red dots floating around the screen, and my droid, while somewhat detailed, was nothing more than a circled shape flying around the map. I felt a lot more could of been done with the design, especially the players unit.
I did enjoy the magnetic block collector, but disliked the fact that they would disappear if I didn't collect them soon enough. This was an issue when I would bomb all the units (causing a lot of lag) and tried to gather up all loot from my kills. On the subject of the bombs, they are way too powerful. I could clear out just about everyone on the map with a bomb, and they wouldn't even be on the immediate screen. I would just set the bomb off, and run around and kill everyone with the shockwave. The bomb should just kill everyone on the screen, or have an immediate radius of distruction, otherwise I'm taking out almost everyone in one glorious shot.
Very good game, and the controls are very easy to use, so that's a plus. Even the upgrade center was easy to navigate. My only issue is that there are so many weapons, but most of them aren't even worth buying from the description that is given. Once I saw one that said I just had to fire and it would do the work I was sold. Also enjoyed the fact that I could bounce between all of the weapons I had previously purchased. Good work, and I look forward to another version
