Eh...

It really wasn't funny at all to me. The animation was alright, along with the sound, but the comedy was really lacking. What it really made me think of was Yahtzee's review of "How to make a gaming webcomic" where he talked about how most of them just apply video game logic to real life for comic effect in a lazy attempt at comedy. Yes, in real life punching a tree would hurt your hand, but not in the game. That doesn't mean it's funny. The comedy timing was really off with things like the ending with the zombies, which made something that could've gotten a chuckle kind of fall flat. I dunno, I just didn't think this aspect was as good as other Minecraft flash like the one with the guy's little cousin playing blocks.

I know the Yahtzee review you're speaking of. "You're just jealous because I have balls in my mouth slupr slurp yum yum" right? Anyway, he was slating web comic artists for taking these lazy scripts and trying to become sellouts. We just want to share our silly creation with others, that's all.

Besides, a parody of something generally involves the idea of taking something not right about what is being parodied and exploiting it. It's a pretty low brow form of comedy I'll agree, but christ, we're just a couple of guys who wanted to make a quick flash animation project. We're not professional comedians, animators or script writers, we just wanted to have a little fun. And we did.

Dissapointment

As a raging minecraft addict, I usually really enjoy these minecraft parodies, but this one seemed... like it just stabbed at the obvious jokes over... and over... Not much originality, the only part that truly made me laugh, then cry a little, was the sheep. All in all it felt like the animation was just grasping at comedy that wasn't quite there. Also on the nerd rage aspect... if they were both in their beds, then it would have transitioned to day, thus bypassing the whole zombie ordeal.

If you were a Minecraft addict, you'd know for sure you get woken up in the night by mobs for not having the bed at least 1 square away from an enclosed structure 1 block thick.

Could have been better.

Had the potential to be much greater - although unique, it carried no true comedic value, and had only a few moments for laughs. Why did he shriek "Relax!?" for instance? Or break his hand, when he could have simply touched the wood, as well? Again, great concept, but had much more room for improvement. <3

Did you ever watch "Ren & Stimpy"? Look up on YouTube, "Ren tries to relax". That'd explain the scene. Cheers!

The Animation was good however the story or plot rather was SUPER boring

Perhaps you could animate for other people and you leave the writing to them?
