O.K just finished, and overall I thought it wasn't that great at the start but it does get REALLY good. Take 50% Metroid, add some stupid up up down down left right left right, or it's too dangerous to go alone jokes, toss in about 30% cavestory and mix the rest in with snails and secret passages and you end up with this game.
Controls are auqward at first, but after an upgrade or two you gonna be flying though the stages like nothing. The game's difficulty and rpg upgrade elements remind me a LOT of Knytt. Overall level design wise it was spectacular.
Music and graphics are top notch as far as indie games go. Go old fashioned pixels and blips with a whole lotta creativity can go a long way.
Alternate endings, and a wide variety of powers makes the game well worth crawling over again and again, and the atmosphere was well balanced ass far as serious to easy going goes.
The main reason I stuck though it too the end was the amount of details the game has, like the snails you talk too by walking near always say something different. At first it'd be a greeting, after a boss or power up they'd say Wow you are aweome, or hey you can do this and that with that new power up you know? And later on in the game whilest backtracking they'll just say Oh wow you visited =D. Also apparently the game programmer wanted to eat pizza while making this game. . .
Overall this is a real gem, and I know no other game that deserves a 10/10 5/5 rating, so push that button people!

This game is such a good game. I love the little platformer games where you get to upgrade things and fight bosses.(i.eRobot wants ice cream) It had a whole lot of creativity, and hard puzzles although i haven't beat it yet, i really enjoy it as far as i gotten.
