Reviews for "Skinny"

Logo bug?

Great game, great art, great sound.

I thought I'd point out that after beating the game, and clicking "Play Again?" I clicked the Atmos Games logo that appears after the load. This then causes a 414 error on the server saying the URI was too long. After checking out the URL, yes indeed about 375,000 character URL would do that. The URL sent contains what looks like the full game script and quite a large amount of game vars (about 14,000 from looking at it in notepad++)

This did not occur when first launching the game. But did happen again after beating it a 2nd time. So I assume it has to do with some end game event.

Good, but wall jumping sucked.

The game was a great experience. I loved the graphics/art, the sounds, the feel of it.

Except like Coma, the game is way too short and the storyline barely gets to be explored. Not to mention that walljumping was hella frustrating.

love this game!

controls are very difficult to use the mouse and keyboard together is very difficult when you play for the first time.
the graphics are very beautiful, simple but beautiful music is so beautiful you do not get tired, really this game looks like coma. but in truth coma. is the best game I've played here

Incredibly buggy

It was rage-inducing.
There were so many times I would attempt to jump, wall-jump, or even move, and get screwed over because the game would insist I was still moving in a different direction.
I have seen a large number of comments with this same complaint...
FIX! PLEASE!
It would be a good game IF I COULD PLAY IT!

A must-play...but ultimately frustrating

The environments and graphics are very stylistic, as is the sound and animation just like Coma. Great job here. What makes this better than your previous game is the improved gameplay, the main character can jump off walls, use a giant hook arm to grab/turn on/kill shit, etc. the concepts were actually entertaining, and what makes a flash game an actual *game*, which cannot be said about many other flashes from the "art" game genre.

What's frustrating about "Skinny" is the story ends just as it starts to develop. Not until you talk to Felix does "Mommy" turn out to be the obvious antagonist. What significance does Skinny have in getting in the chair at the end? Why is "Mommy" trying to make all these creatures here slaves? What the flippin hell happens to Mommy at the end? I understand how my ultimate opinion on the ending may fall into the "average-lazy-viewer-who-cannot-think -for-theirself" group. A good plotline doesn't make everything clear and leaves questions, but there's just way too damn much room left for my own interpretation. It's like having sex with a girl but then being denied a second time- gratified, but wanting more. What you did here was not that at all. It's the sexual equivalent of inserting the tip of a penis into a moist vagina and then then you get instantly teleported to your grandmother's house.
