Reviews for "Kaleidoscope Dating Sim"

Hmm...

I really like the artwork. It's done very well. I find that the conversation set up is a little annoying. I don't like pressing back after each bit of conversation. Maybe you could add a "keep talking" option to continue with the conversation if the user has enough HP.

Meh...

The Art style is top notch but there are cases where if you ask a question for example: "My name is strange but unique, no?" The response is "That's great to hear." It also seems to lack variety and it's mostly Frame-By-Frame.

Lot's of room for improvement

It could have been better.

The overall idea of the storyline is okay, but it could have used some work, like with how he got to the place where he was, the depth of the storyline, etc... explain why he has sleeping problems, and how he got them? And why he can sleep like a baby all of the sudden...

The character's are kind of generic, sure they look cool, but they don't really seem to pop out. They just seem like final fantasy cos-players that you would see at comic-con with regular personality's.

The endings didn't really satisfy me. What happened to the story endings like in your previous games? I was really disappointed. It was like you just closed it off at the end, not wanting to explaining what would then happen afterwards.

The art is okay, sure. But the character expressions could have been done better. I don't like how at the beginning he is like "WHAT IS THIS" and just staring blankly out into space. The character's need more emotion to them than just "sad" or "happy".

The music is calming, but I feel that one track is simply not enough. Why not add some more music like for individual characters or some scene's for depth?

There could be more places, I mean it's okay to have just a few places to go, but it feels limited in the actions that you could do with the character.

Also, why not more scenes with the character/ more actions?

There also need's to be more difficulty to the game... It doesn't really seem like a dating sim, when all you have to do is say what they like to do, not prove it/ do it... It just seems like a big random conversation that you have to go through.

Overall, it was okay, but definitely not your best. You can do better Bomee, I know you can!

Well..

It could have been better, the concept is great, however the NPC's don't really respond to what you're saying; it doesn't match at all. Also a larger map, or a more interactive interface would be nice.

The art and music in this game is very nice, and it all shows potential, but the girls, (and Xam) all feel very flat. Their responses are nearly uniform and do not change much, (alright, hm... you should buy me stuff) and often times they will respond in a negative way for little to no reason other than "that was arbitrarily the wrong answer". This really breaks immersion, and made me care a lot less than I should have about who I was with. Lastly, the ending seemed.. lacking. Nothing special really happens. If those problems could be patched up, or if you're willing to ignore them, then it's a decent, quick sim.
