Reviews for "Insanity Box 2"

Seems like a good game at first...

But once you play the game a few times, you'll notice it has way too many bugs. Really, the first time I played story mode, I really enjoyed the game. It has great graphics, and the variety is awesome. But after a while, I noticed a lot of bugs. Especially in the ''super diram'' game. In that game, you often can't jump to other platforms because you're too far away from them, you push platforms away with your feet, etc. But most importantly, you can't walk to the left. Sometimes, I jump over the finish, and then there is no way you can complete the stage anymore. If I continue walking and jumping to the right, there doesn't spawn another exit, and since I can't walk to the left, I can't finish it anymore. That's really frustrating, mainly because sometimes, when I land on the right edge of the finish pipe, the game doesn't end.

I noticed more bugs, once the whole game crashed. With some games I instantly died (Diram, monkey, reversor, button game), while with some games I can't die. Like the mammoth game, where I spammed the mouse on a single spot, and it said I had unfrozen the whole mammoth. Or the first asteroid game, where every rock just passes me.
There are relevant pictures of the glitches at the bottom of this page: http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/1 035978/724

Apart from the glitches, it's a really nice and mostly original game. I really enjoyed some of the games, like the calculator game (I once got 17 as the number I had to make :D), the mammoth game, and the whack-a-teeth game.

Here are some hints for some of the games:

- For the final fantasy like game, press right and then ''a'' to run from the battle with all four of your characters. If christ uses evangelise, you did it wrong.
- For the car race, my best tactic was just to stay at the right of the screen the whole time, it you're lucky you won't crash against any cars.
- For the asteroids 2 game, just hold the right and down key, and you won't be getting hit.

One thing you might want to change is that you can still see the outlines of the space picture if you cross to one direction on the second asteroid game. It's cuite ugly. I hope you can fix some of those bugs.

poxpower responds:

Weird I haven't seen any of those before. I'll look into it.

Ehhh No...

Controls were alright but the system itself kept acting up. Times when I didn't even start the game I suddenly lose or there will be lags and freezes for no apparent reasons. Practice mode was also horrible... couldn't at least get a feel for the games since I suddenly lose the moment I click on one of them. Button pressing wouldn't register either as I press them or some of the games seem to be rigged for you to lose regardless.

poxpower responds:

What system / browser are you using?
What did you do? This all sounds weird as hell to me because I've never seen it and I've played this thing a lot.

What this game really relates to...

This is more of a WarioWare game than it is Mario Party, except the minigames are longer. I know in the description on the front page it says Mario Party style, but that isn't really the case.

That isn't too much trouble however. There are upsides to the game itself. The mini games were fun to play and there's even a practice mode where I am able to get used to the games. That's always nice. The only thing I didn't like was the Kalkulator game. I can never pass this game no matter how hard I try. I just happen to suck really bad at mathematics. Besides, isn't this game supposed to be just fun? Why is there a mathematical mini game? That really just ticks me off. I for one am in no mood to do math. >:( It's all because of the medals though. That's why I continue to play this game.

Some of the graphics were pretty good. Not the best that I've seen, but they're still great. I liked the mammoth ice breaking game. The ice looked really well drawn. I also liked how the mammoth turned less colder in color. That's a nice touch.

Everything else was also pretty good, so I'll fill in the verdict.

Graphics: 4/5
You have a lot of talent when it comes to making animations and other things. Some of the graphics weren't the best, but you did really good in this. Good show, sir.

Sound: 4/5
I don't really have much to say in this matter. Nothing sounded too off, but there was some parts that didn't sound right, like when blasting meteors in the first mini game. The little popping sounds don't really fit in with the game. But nevertheless, well done on this part.

Control: 3/5
Some of the controls in some of the mini games sort of upset me. In the asteroid mini game, I cannot seem to know where to go or where to shoot because the control for the mini game is frustrating. I think that this game could use some control adjustments, but not anything majorly changed.

Difficulty: 2/5
I found the game to be difficult even when on easy mode. Some of the requirements in the mini games are real bullshit. This needs to be improved.

Overall: 6/10 and 3/5. Nothing more to say.

Good day.

the

game my my computer lag so i did not like it but at least you tried.

Decent.
