Great Game But Not Puting Acheivements On My NG Profile

Loved this game...

... even though it's similar to Plants vs. Zombies, because it's in all the best ways. What makes this really stand out though is the very unique gameplay with having to launch your own counter-attack, as well as having all sorts of different turrets, malwares, and even XP upgrades for later levels.

Maybe it's just experience with these sorts of games, but the difficulty curve on this one seemed a little low. Even with the added challenge of launching a counter-attack, the most sound strategy was always build up beefy defenses, wait for a crazy amount of brainpower to build up, and then launch an overwhelming amount of malware at the opponent. The bonus challenge with just the bombs and resistors was an excellent change of pace and a small added challenge, but also didn't prove to be very difficult. The music was repetitive but catchy, and not distracting which is important, and the sound effects were good because they gave auditory clues as to when your opponent was building or sending out malware.

A few small things I found with this game: the first is a small discrepancy in terminology. When you place a resistor it says that it stops all viruses, but in this game's terminology a virus is only one of three kinds of malware. In reality, the resistor stops all malware, not just all viruses.
The second is the placing of the malware buttons. Especially in the beginning of the game, if you are a mouse player and are trying to click the buttons to research or code malware, and you earn a medal, the medal pop-up conveniently eclipses the malware buttons.
And on a semi-related note, the other games tab that appears in the bottom left is just annoying. I completely understand advertisement and promotion, but most people have pop-up and script blockers in their browsers because that sort of advertisement is just annoying, and here it is plugged into a flash game. I would have no problem with an "other games" button or link, but I'm not a fan of the pop-over tab.
The third is a sort of glitch that I found, if you repeat a level several times, after every time you still get the XP upgrade for completing the level. So essentially, a player could repeat one of the easier beginning levels until he attains enough XP to purchases all upgrades, and then just breeze through the rest of the game. Ideally you would only be able to get XP for your first time beating a level, and perhaps if you went back on a level you got a silver on to go for a gold, you would only get the additional XP that the gold trophy provides.

All in all a great game, thoroughly enjoyed it. 9 and 5'd.

Nice!

i got hooked, damn.

Good game

This game is pretty good, and not easy. I was enjoying the game most of the time, but the only sad thing was at the end. When beating the last level, the first time the game just ended the level normally without any end of story message, and there was no gold medal on level 17 in the level select menu (despite gaining the gold one). So I tried the level a second time, and this time when winning it, it did give some story at the end, but then suddenly Flash started consuming 100% CPU and I couldn't press any buttons anymore.

So, enjoyable the whole game through, unfortunately glitched at the very end...

Great Game, loved it.

Yeah I loed the challenge, and the medals.
I love the theme of this tower defence game, and i'm glad you update it. Thanks for making a wonderful game that I enjoyed for countless hours.
