Age of war V4.0

Awesome game.
This game doesnt need improvements,but tweaks.
Tweaks that would be really useful:

-Telling how much an unit will cost after an upgrade.Also,make the upgraded unit the default for that unit.Not 3 types of archers,the no upgrade,the I upgrade and the II upgrade one.That is obsolete.
-Make a "Custom play" after you complete the roman campaign.And even better:make a map editor,choosing width of the army path,and where to spawn the gold sites.More replayability and fun.

-I did read the chat "(cutscene)",but i think some people dont like spending time with that.A skip button to chat screens would be useful.

-More space for units.The centurion unit became useless for me because i had no space to put it in since i wanted the others units more.Same applies for "Spells",the boulder spell got useless.

-Making the attacks faster isnt necessary,but boosts up the feeling of war on the game.There is no war that isnt intense.Looking to an a legionary hit an enemy slowly is a bit..boring.

-I saw some typos.Examples are:Ceasar(special unit),seige(or im wrong on this one - thought it would be siege?).Also something strange i noticed is "Magic arrows" on the fire archers.Same applies to the siege spell.I think its just fire,not magic,no? O:
You should rename "Spells" to tactics - i didnt play as vercing though,and i dont know his specials.

-QUALITY OPTION - THIS IS IMPORTANT.This game has smoothing turned on,and you cant disable it.I didnt get any lag,but if you want people to play your game,make sure they have this option.Not everyone got a nice PC.

9/10 - would be TEN if you could put those tweaks in.

Incredibly Addicting

I played both generals on newgrounds and went to max games to play the third army.
There were a few bugs, but nothing that reduce the experience.
For example, a soldier stayed on the screen even after he died, still attacking but it was if he was a ghost since he wasn't damaging anything in his way and the opposing soldiers were just walking past him.

I agree with Kojiro about that stage where the catapults just decimate your forces whenever you try to bring out forces. But it wasn't impossible. Only time consuming. I see that it was meant to make you think about how to oppose the Romans rather than using brute forcing it.
Also, the Romans are overpowered in terms of balancing. Just like Kojiro said, once the archers are upgraded, it's impossible to be defeated.

The music...got a little tiring. But the sound effects were a nice touch.

I also love the rendering of it all. It made the gameplay so smooth. It was awesome.

Overall. Since I spent two whole days playing this. I'm hooked. I finished it all...but there wasn't any ending?...Or is there a button I was supposed to press in the beginning?

Given how common the basic mechanics are, I didn't expect much...
But this is great. Good humour kept me from being frustrated at certain points, and the simplistic cartoonish style didn't hurt at all.
I did actually greatly enjoy the tactical balance of the game. The unit balancing was well done, and certain levels were made the more difficult by lack of a specific type.
I did wish you had used a couple other songs, but that doesn't detract much from the overall experience.
For everyone being frustrated by certain levels: Try switching up your unit list.
I struggled a few times, switched things up alittle, and the levels I had struggled on became breezy. Due to the cost of units and the Rock/Paper/Scissors type combat mechanic, a simple change from, for example, Centurion to Fire Archers could make a big difference in the difficulty of the level.

NEEDS A SEQUEL EPIC JOB I just wish you could, like gather up your troops at a position then send them out. Other than that EPIC JOB
