P.s.: did you take inspiration from the arcade game "Crossbow"? It has a similar concept (protecting semi-defenseless heroes), and the sprite of character you protect is very similar, in style, to the hero of your game!

Glad you liked it! I did not take inspiration from "Crossbow", I didn't know about that game. But that is interesting, from screenshots, the character does seem similar, haha :) Thanks.
Very nice short game.
The key is understanding that enemies ahead may be farther away, but they will always attack first due to the movement speed of "hero".
Ps. Not all flying enemies will make contact with the "hero". It can be fairly guessed which ones due to trajectory, and those are better left alone. Jumping to hit them incurs a massive time penalty which often allows for other enemies to attack the "hero".
