I hate to give it such a low score.
It's obvious a lot of work went into this. That said, the game was just frustrating. I'm not talking about the time limits. I'm talking about the combat mission.
Black silhouettes on a black and white background was an awful idea. The black silhouette in a charcoal doorway during a firefight was the worst. I had an extremely hard time seeing my targets, mostly because the whole screen is not in view at one time.
That makes this next bit hard to judge, because I'm not sure if I'm correct or not because I always had trouble finding the enemies, but I'm pretty sure I've had guys shoot me FROM BEHIND COVER. This seems to be possible because I know for a fact I've shot people that were behind cover and had no idea they were there.
The targets being hard to find wouldn't be so bad if they didn't appear in random placements every playthrough. This made the Sniper vs Sniper level on The Street needlessly frustrating, as I scanned and re-scanned the whole area to look for these guys who could step out from anywhere, and also blend in as they barely peek their head out from a window and all the while there's a short timer ticking down.
One last point on that matter, your health is displayed in a big red number right on the screen. Having the blood splatter getting more opaque as you take damage just made everything even harder to see.
There also needs to be an option to turn off the slow motion zoom-in shots of the bullet flying. The worst part about those was that it forced you to zoom back into the scope after it was done. I'm also not sure how exactly the bullet decides where to go, as I've had the dot on the scope aimed right at an enemy's head but somehow it missed?
Those were the biggest problems I had playing this game. It's obvious a lot of polish went into the look of the game, and how firing the weapon "feels", and the sounds. Unfortunately, the issues listed completely detracted from the game, and left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
Good lord, all these words, I need to get to bed.
