I liked it

I had a lot of fun with this, simple fun and addictive. I felt badass when I got huge combo strings that required a dash in between, which I"m sure is what the developer was aiming for.

The only thing I didn't like with it was the fact that (being a game where you have to jump on something that could be moving) you're going to want to tap the movement keys sometimes, but this is reserved for the dash move, meaning that many times I was dashed when I simply tried to position myself better.

It's an alright game, but then you compare it to another similarly structured platformer, like say the original Super Mario Bros.

SMB has more powerups, more variety, more enemies, much tighter controls and is just better in every way (except graphics). And it's over 25 years old!

The graphics are nice, but in terms of gameplay everything has been done before and better.

A Review For You

Game has good graphics and platformer gameplay, though several problems can easily deter most gamers.

Controls are either unresponsive enough or over-responsive. I suggest choosing a different button for dash instead of double-tapping the directional keys. Changing the key for jump may also help. You might want to include an option to change control configuration next time.

Boss battles are surprisingly easy, compared to the stage itself. Even the final boss was made easy, mostly due to the fact there were more and larger targets to land on.

Games like these often have unsatisfying endings, and this one is no different. Being able to change the color of the character is no real incentive to play it again. Unless the player is a score fanatic.

Overall, pretty good game, deserving the front page. Main issue is controls, try to get that fixed on your next game.

Tips: Combos are broken only when you land on the ground or when you are damaged by an enemy. Combos can therefore last indefinitely if you opt to just fall into the pit instead of landing on the ground. Combos are carried over stage transitions, so huge combos can potentially continue stage after stage.
