glitch

a long presentation, and after thatm, a glitch destroy the game. :(
(down+wall)

Feels like a brick toy

Cool idea and presentation, but it's also slow, laggy and have bad controls.
Can't play for more than few minutes.

People are mean

I sadly have to agree with everyones opinion when it comes to the sluggish controls. The gap of time between me clicking a key and getting a response is just to far for any accurate or successfully fluid movement. You do get points however for the sliding mechanic, its pretty cool and the animation for shooting behind yourself makes it pretty damn slick. The wall sliding is too slow and it feels awkwardly unrealistic and useless. The pistol is a useless weapon and the lack of enemies flinching when shot makes it feel as if they aren't really being damaged. The presentation for this game however is nothing reflective of the actual gameplay. You can tell hard work was but into the animations for running, wall sliding and etc. Bascially.... with more work in the controls and a revamp of the weapons choice and enemy reaction to damage...this would be an easy 10. :D

laggy crap

slow and laggy play, unresponsive or too slow controls, and just overall lack of how to die or not die since pico can apparently take a bazillion bullets and still survive, yet there's no way to jump to avoid bullets. You need to get your basic controls to be good first before making sliding, and clinging, and shooting up and shit which are basically pointless because they don't help you.

Well made

I dislike being the minority but oh well. I thought the controls were pretty damn good. I did not see them as some fundamental flaw in game play but rather as an amusing challenge. Hell, once you learn to compensate for the admittedly unusual controls they can even be rather useful, like sliding away from the enemy in a crouch as you aim behind you so you can put distance between them and yourself while still getting ready to shoot.

I mean honestly it gives you easy to execute wall jumps, power-ups and the ability to duck under most enemy fire. If the controls didn't slide a little instead of turning on a dime and did allow you to spam the jump button it would be no challenge at all.

I realize that nowadays people don't really enjoy a good challenge in their games anymore, but I don't think their was anything to fix in the controls. I do however admit that being able to jump and shoot at the same time would be nice.
