As a fellow from England I hear your plight. However this was a case of style over substance. When you apply your skills to a story of any kind, no matter how rubbish, I'm almost certain it would hit the front page without having to shamelessly ask for it. I think it turns people away asking for it and puts the animation on a bad footing to begin with.
I really do wish to see more of your flash movies (just don't ask for commendations next time!)!!!

i was excited the first time a film of mine was put on the front page. i haven't seen your other films so i don't know what you have or haven't tried.
but generally i think you're best served by aiming to make the best film you can make, not by making something just good enough.
you could have gone a lot further with this idea. you could have presented us with a stirring adventure story of a man willing to go to any lengths to get on the front page. or a comedy about someone who's life was blighted by a lack of front page glory. but we got one character patting his dog and the impression that you only begrudgingly use flash in the first place.

I could have gone further with it but it is meant to be in the same vein of the film it will accompany and the humour had to have our British style of irony/cringe and the fact that the character's struggle is actually pretty pathetic is exactly what I wanted to achieve.

Pretty damm boring...
But the animation was nice enough. The sound quality sucked though.
Well you got frontpaged, so I guess that's all you wanted. If you wanted your animation to be loved then that's a whole other story.

While the animation itself was nice, the voice acting lacked any emotional inflection whatsoever. The concept was weak, nothing more than simply begging for a front page spot. You also need to adjust your microphone, as static and other white noise overtakes your voice.
Hire someone with more vocal range than Microsoft Sam, then actually TRY to reach the front page.
