My eyes hurt. Not that great a game. would have been fine without intentionally trying to give people seizures
Rage goes down way too fast. At least slow it down a touch.
And FFS take out all the unnecessary flashy crap. just a pain to watch.
Good try...
...but lacking in challenge and visual interest. Other than lots of flashing and rainbow bullets, there's not much to see.
Graphics issues aside, I'd suggest working on the level pacing. For the first few stages, enemy patterns were very predictable, IMHO, with too much time between waves. It got better around level 2-1.

why was this on the front page? The concept was pretty fun, but the game was repetitive, difficult, and the pickup problem that others have mentioned persisted. No effort was put into the actual art, though the effects were pulled off fairly well. Keep trying, and be nice to all the people whose games didn't get front paged and who still support you.
my brain hurts
yes, i was warned about the flashing... but really, this was WAY over the top. the stark white background made it hard to see the incoming shots, the hard time to pick up the (very limited) power-ups was challenging enough. as listed the bugs before, so i am not going to keep repeating those. good effort, but the effort was really misplaced.
Nice concept, poor execution
Pros:
-Liked the retro style. Can't go wrong the pixels.
-The explosions were pretty fluent and well animated, and I dig most of the effects.
-I honestly didn't mind the over-the-top flashes. I mean, we are dealing with Unicorns.
Cons:
-Too slow. The game's style and excessive effects should have been met with a faster pace.
-Boring. This game gets old very quickly. No diversity in enemies or scenery, really.
And lastly...
IT'S NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO AVOID ENEMY BULLETS. This is the game's biggest flaw, and one that you must have forced yourself to overlook.
Seriously, the inability to dodge bullets made me stop playing after 3 minutes.
