i liked the ambience, the mood you had going, the painted backgrounds were really cool. they had a nice contrast with the character animation.

That scared the crap outta me
Excellent work. I'd have to say that the rotting alien was the scariest part though. Not to say that it was bad (it wasn't at all), but I'd recommend that the music didn't stop so early and abruptly, it lost some of it's effect that way. Also, I would try to place more emphasis on the protagonist's unsightly state after reading the black book. Please, do make more of this amazing work if you schedule allows it, this was truly great and near perfect!
